Raj Tummala

Raj loves dancing Salsa and Bachata with people of all ages and skill level. He can work with you on Partner-work, Foot-work, Body Control, Rhythm, Musicality, Spin techniques and Styling.

Raj grew up learning hip-hop, teaching himself the wicked moves of Michael Jackson and Prabhu Deva. He has competed with hip-hop teams through the early years, even successfully winning NC State's Best Dance Crew. Through serendipity, he discovered the Afro Latin dance community 6 years ago and began learning New York Style Mambo on 2 with Mambo Dinamico in 2017.

Raj also loves traveling to Congresses and Festivals to increase knowledge of a wide variety of movements. He loves sharing the ability to use dance as a tool to study and engage with the rich history of Afro-Latin culture.
