Carrie Anazia

Carrie is a passionate dancer and educator from Winston-Salem, NC, currently based in Durham, NC. She trained in ballet, tap, and jazz for 10 years as a child and teenager, performing throughout her youth. After earning a degree in Elementary and Special Education from North Carolina A&T State University, she pursued a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University. Carrie now owns a business as a private teacher and is also a certified yoga instructor, having trained in Bali, Indonesia. In 2022, she began her journey in Latin dance, specializing in salsa and bachata. She loves traveling, social dancing, and training internationally in Cuba, France, and Colombia. Since Fall 2024, she has been a member of the Mambo Dinámico dance team.
